Indians Looking to Get Back On Track

by @ 11:30 pm. Filed under 2011 Indians

The sort of good news is the Indians have won two of their last four.  The bad news is that followed a three game losing streak and the Indians are slowly losing ground to the Tigers in the AL Central.  They still have a healthy five game lead and it’s six in the loss column but the Tigers seem to be heating up again so the Indians have to get it done.

Mitch Talbot had a solid start and he improved to 2-1.  He gave up a run on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  The pen gave up a couple of runs which was discouraging but it was still enough to give them the win.

Carlos Santana went three for three with two RBIs and two runs.  Grady Sizemore also had a nice game and he went two for four with two RBIs and a run.  Michael Brantley also had a solid day at the plate and he went three for five with a run.

Josh Tomlin gets the nod tomorrow and he goes for win number seven.  Kyle Drabak is on the mound for the Jays in this evening game.  Then the Rangers come into town for four games, three of which are night games and Sunday is an afternoon game.
