Hello, my name is Mel Downing and I’ll be covering the Indians for the Baseball Historians network. I grew up in Northwest Ohio and have been a life long Indians fan. I remember when they were really bad, and I remember when they were good and while 2006 was disappointment, I think 2007 will go a lot better.
I’ll not only be covering the present day Indians, but much like the theme of the other Baseball Historians sites, I’ll be taking a look at the teams past as well. This will includes season lookbacks that will start with the franchises inception in 1901 and I’ll also start a player retrospective on Nap Lajoie. And that will just kick things off.
