Cliff Lee’s Injured Ab Means a DL Stint

by @ 5:34 pm. Filed under 2007 Indians

This is tough.  Cliff Lee is going to start the season on the disabled list because of his injured abdominal muscle.  He’s going to be shut down for close to two weeks, which means he won’t be in shape to start the season and the speculation is that he’ll be out of the rotation anywhere from four to six weeks.  Now that there’s a spot in the rotation, we’ll get to see if some of the Indians’ young arms might be ready for a short stint in the rotation.  I’d be particularly interested in Adam Miller getting a few spot starts although Fausto Carmona and Brian Slocum are also possibilities.
