Indians Fail to Clinch, Must Travel to Fenway After Game Five Loss

by @ 2:16 am. Filed under 2007 Indians

The Indians were blown out yesterday as the Red Sox finally put together a solid game to pick up a win.  C.C. Sabathia was very good until he got tagged for his third and fourth run in the seventh inning and he lost his second game of the series.  Rafael Perez had his second straight rough outing as well and he was tagged for three runs (one earned) in just one third of an inning.

Even the Indians lone run was kind of pathetic.  Grady Sizemore scored when Travis Hafner grounded into a double play.  Sizemore was the only Indians hitter to have two hits and every Indian in the lineup struck out at least once except for Kenny Lofton.

It’s another day off, and then game six is tomorrow.  It’ll be Fausto Carmona against Curt Schilling in a rematch of game two.
